LA PEQUEÑA VIAJERA*ACERCA DE MI. *THE SMALL TRAVELER * ABOUT ME

Katia Muñoz es una artista peruana, egresó de la Facultad
de Arte de la Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Perú con la especialidad en Pintura.
Ha expuesto su obra en Pintura , Grabado y Fotografia e Instalaciones desde 1995 en diversas ciudades del Perú , España y Holanda donde presento una serie de Ilustraciones hechas para el libro Duizen* de Suzanne Heering.

Para mi el El Arte es mi forma de vivir y mi forma de sentir. Vivo el dia a dia insistiendo en mi Vocación . Algunos dicen que Ser artista significa curar continuamente las propias heridas y al mismo tiempo, en el mismo proceso, abrirlas de nuevo . Estoy completamente de acuerdo.

Katia Muñoz is a Peruvian artist, graduated from the Faculty of Arts of the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru in the specialty of Painting. She has exhibited her work in painting, engraving and photography and installations since 1995 in various cities in Peru, Spain and Holland where she presented a series of illustrations made for the book by Suzanne Duizen * Heeringen.

For me Art is my lifestyle and my way of feeling. I live day to day stress in my vocation. Some say that being an artist means wounds heal themselves continuously and simultaneously in the same process, open again. I completely agree.

En 2004 creó y fundó Kurmyskay*Arte y Diseño especializado en lineas de Decoración y arte Utilitario trabajando para diversas tiendas del rubro, trabajando como diseñadora para Shehadi Mirrors NYC. entró en contacto con el vidrio pintado con una tecnica antigua, aplicandola luego para una nueva linea decorativa en muebles modernos siendo finalista con este proyecto en el 2006 del Concurso de Innovación Artesanal en Lima, Perú. Reside desde 2006 en Barcelona , en el 2007 inició el curso de Escultura y Decoración en vidrio en la Fundació Centre del Vidre de Barcelona donde esta continuando su encuentro con el vidrio y profundizando sus conocimientos para seguir expresandose.
Ha creado el primera red social para profesionales del Arte y la Artesania en la que cada artista puede mostrar sus diseños de piezas únicas,innovadoras y funcionales.

She has created the first social network for professionals in the arts and crafts in which each artist can display their pieces of unique designs, innovative and functional
