Celebramos pero seguimos en la lucha por la igualdad! Una manera de hacerlo es tendiendo puentes de dialogo entre arte y sociedad.
En conmemoración del mes internacional de la mujer abriré mi estudio para visitarlo y poder disfrutar de una exhibición de arte con enfoque de género, con obras de mi autoría, así mismo como obras de diversos artistas que conforman mi colección particular.
Además, me es muy grato exponer gran parte de la colección del proyecto internacional colaborativo de Arte Postal sobre la mujer, que consta de más de dos mil postales enviadas por mas de 500 artistas de todo el mundo.
Los espero los días 10 y 24 de marzo del presente año, de 11h. a 20h. en mi casa/taller de Poblenou -Barcelona.

We celebrate but we continue in the fight for equality! One way to do this is by building bridges of dialogue between art and society.
In commemoration of the International Women's Month, I will open my studio to visit it and be able to enjoy an art exhibition with a gender focus, with works by my authorship, as well as works by various artists that make up my private collection.
In addition, I am very happy to exhibit a large part of the collection of the international collaborative project of Mail Art about Women, which consists of more than two thousand postcards sent by more than 500 artists from around the world.
I look forward to the 10th and 24th of March of this year, from 11am. at 8pm. in my house / workshop in Poblenou -Barcelona.

The following project proposes a new reading oriented to the reflection between art, gender and multiculturalism. We want to focus on the multiple ways of being, feeling and perceiving the woman at the present time, under the look and sensibility of artists and creatives from around the world with the respective connotations of their cultural and social differences.
Our calls are aimed at men and women, children and adults, artists or not, creatives that after all interact to build bridges of communication between art and society through mail art, with which we create an installation of contemporary female identity.
Being a woman, besides being a biological fact, is a cultural and historical fact. That's why our final purpose is to show new perspectives through the possibilities offered by the artistic creations.
About the Female Virtual Collective Art-essence Project:
The Female Virtual Collective Art-essence Project is an artistic, social and protest project created by the artist Katia Muñoz. One of its main objectives is to contribute to the visibility of artists, especially women creators, create a network of information and encourage interaction between artists on the theme of Woman.
The International Mail Art Project on Women is a multidisciplinary project that begins with virtual calls, inviting creative men and women, to send their postcards tapped to be part of the overall installation that travels through different cities and being exposed in our on line galleries.
This project began in 2010, to date there have been several calls with the titles: "Women: Secrets and Confidences", "Women’s Issues" and "Strangers in Paradise", the latter is focused on Women and Migration.
The installation has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions in different cities from Spain, such as Barcelona, Madrid, Valdemoro, Castellón and Huesca in Arteria - Contemporary Art Fair.
Women’s Issues, third call launched from Colombia in South America, was exhibited at the Art Museum of the University of the Magdalena, in the city of Santa Marta, and the Municipal Institute of Culture and Tourism of Bucaramanga-Santander.
Strangers in Paradise, our fourth call, begins its tour at the Cultural Center of Spanish speakers of the city of Amsterdam, Holland.
So far we have received more than 1500 postcards with the participation of nearly 500 artists from all continents. A true interaction between artists, the entire installation is a female wall that tells us, sometimes loudly, sometimes muttering, a compendium of senses and contemporary feminine worldviews.
El siguiente proyecto propone una nueva lectura orientada a la reflexión entre arte, género y multiculturalismo. Queremos enfocar las múltiples maneras de ser, sentirse y percibir a la mujer en la época actual, bajo la mirada y la sensibilidad de artistas y creativos de todo el mundo con las respectivas connotaciones de sus diferencias culturales y sociales.
Nuestras convocatorias están dirigidas a hombres y mujeres, niños y adultos, artistas o no, creativos que al fin y al cabo interactúan tendiendo puentes de comunicación entre el arte y la sociedad a través del arte postal, con las cuales vamos creando una instalación de identidad femenina contemporánea.
Ser mujer, además de ser un hecho biológico, es un hecho cultural e histórico. Es por eso que nuestro propósito final es mostrar nuevas perspectivas a través de las posibilidades que nos brindan las creaciones artísticas.
Sobre el Colectivo Femenino Virtual Proyecto Art-esencia:
El Colectivo Femenino Virtual Proyecto Art-esencia es un proyecto artístico, social y reivindicativo establecido por la artista Katia Muñoz. Uno de sus principales objetivos es contribuir a la visibilidad de los artistas, sobre todo mujeres creadoras, generar una red de información y promover la interacción entre artistas sobre el tema de la Mujer.
El Proyecto Internacional de Arte Postal sobre la Mujer es un proyecto multidisciplinar que comienza con las convocatorias virtuales, invitando a los creativos, hombres y mujeres, a enviar sus postales intervenidas para ser parte de la instalación general que viaja por diferentes ciudades y ser expuestas en nuestras Galerías online.
Este proyecto surgió en el 2010, hasta la fecha se han realizado varias convocatorias con los títulos: “Mujeres: Secretos y Confidencias”, “Cosas de Mujeres” y “Extrañas en el Paraíso”, centrada esta última en la Mujer y la Migración.
La instalación se ha expuesto en numerosas exhibiciones en diferentes ciudades de España, como Barcelona, Madrid, Valdemoro, Castellón y Huesca, en Arteria - Feria de Arte Contemporáneo.
Cosas de Mujeres, tercera convocatoria lanzada desde Colombia en Sudamérica, se expuso en el Museo de Arte de la Universidad del Magdalena, en la ciudad de Santa Marta, y en el Instituto Municipal de Cultura y Turismo de Bucaramanga-Santander.
Extrañas en el Paraíso, nuestra cuarta convocatoria, inicia su itinerancia en el Centro Cultural de Hispanohablantes de la ciudad de Amsterdam, Holanda.
Hasta el momento se han recibido más de 1500 postales con la participación de casi 500 artistas provenientes de todos los continentes. Una verdadera interacción entre artistas, la instalación al completo es un muro femenino que nos cuenta, a ratos a gritos, a ratos murmurando, un compendio de sentidos y visiones del mundo femenino contemporáneo.
